British shipyard Pearl Yachts has premiered its 21.9 metre Pearl 72 model at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2022.
The new model features a signature Pearl exterior by Dixon Yacht Design and an interior styled by Kelly Hoppen CBE, which aims to maintain the brand's heritage while adding an "indulgent' theme.
Accommodation on this model is split between two sizeable master cabins, one with a private entrance and the second occupying the full 5.7 metre beam amidships. There are two further en suite cabins, plus a crew cabin.
This configuration allows for excellent co-ownership opportunities, as well as creating a solid platform for charter.
The Pearl 72 is the first to feature Kelly’s new “indulgence” interior design theme. Inspired by New York City living on the water, the design team has used a variety of timber veneers, stone accents and metal contrasts.
The interior configuration includes a large main saloon complete with a bar and open galley. Floor-to-ceiling windows and cut-out bulwarks in this area ensure a continuous connection to the water.
Further forward is a feature that the yard has dubbed the "Pearl double windscreen”, which houses the internal helm station and a dinette area. Owners have the option of adding a door beside the helm that allows for simple manoeuvres while the yacht is docking.
Elsewhere, the yacht's aft houses a tender garage with space for a William 345 tender plus a Jet Ski.
Pearl’s managing director, Iain Smallridge, said: “I know I speak for each of us who has been involved in the Pearl 72 project when I say that it is an immensely satisfying moment to be relaxing under the Florida sun, surrounded by friends, with the finished product of all our efforts sparkling in front of us."
He went on to credit Pearl's east coast dealer, Atlantic Yacht & Ship, and west coast dealer, Jeff Brown Yachts.
