Italian yard Cantieri Navali Chioggia has unveiled a new Ocean King model in its Classic series of explorer yachts.
Developed in conjunction with Venetian designer VYD Studio, the 26 metre Ocean King 88 “creates superyacht impact from a small yacht,” according to the yard.
It features exterior design by Arch Paolo Dose, naval architecture by Studio Innave and interior construction design by Garlant Marco.
With the design focused on creating a spacious interior, the new model will have four decks and a gross tonnage of 238.
It will be equipped with a heavy displacement double-bottomed Grade A steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
The engine room will be accessible through the stern garage which can have multiple uses, including a dive centre, water toy and fishing storage or as a small beach club.
The upper deck will offer a number of alfresco relaxation areas including a skylounge which opens into a dining area, and deck storage area for a six-metre tender, water toys and crane. The yacht will also feature a flybridge deck with a seating and entertaining area as well as a large rear cockpit.
Accommodation will be for ten guests split across five staterooms including a master stateroom on the main deck that takes advantage of the full 7.5 metre beam.
Crew accommodation for a staff of four will be situated forward on the lower deck, with the captain’s cabin behind the wheelhouse on the upper deck.
The yacht will have a range of 8,000 nautical miles at a speed of eight knots.
Ocean King’s Alberto Ballarin said: “We have listened to our customers. We know they now want a rugged explorer with long range but with superyacht exterior finish and interior.”
