Italian designer Enzo Manca has released a 60-metre concept that will form part of a superyacht range for "the most demanding of owners".
Known as Nena, this design has a clear automotive inspiration and is characterised by the sinuous, aerodynamic lines typical of Gran Turismo and coupe models. But several layout alterations are said to "anticipate new trends in luxury yachting", creating a superyacht preoccupied with privacy instead of a charter-friendly platform.
For example, Manca has opted to turn the aft deck into a lounging space (rather than the traditional beach club) and relocated the swimming pool to the bow, connecting it instead to the owner's suite. The upper deck also benefits from a large hardtop for increased shade and privacy, with the theme persisting in the generous main deck overhangs and darkly tinted glazing.
"The main objective is to create a yacht with a strong personality and an exclusive appearance," explained Manca. "Nena is intended for an owner who is not looking for a mundane yacht, but one that is out of the box, elegant and sharply designed."
Key specs include a 10.6-metre beam and a draught of 2.9 metres.
Enzo Manca most recently shared the 109-metre Juno with BOAT International, a concept inspired by the nautical styles of the 1980s. Highlights include an owner's cabin on the fourth deck with its own private relaxation area and piano.
