The steel hull and aluminium superstructure of the seventh hull in Moonen Yachts' Martinique series have been joined at the Dutch shipyard's Den Bosch facility. Known as Project YN205, the yacht is for sale with delivery scheduled for April 2025.
Exterior design is owed to René Van Der Velden while the custom interiors are styled by the team at Hollander Yacht Design, who have already worked on their first Martinique project. Naval architecture was completed by longstanding collaborator Diana Yacht Design.
Built in high tensile steel, Project YN205 will include worldwide shore power connectivity and dual US-European domestic power outlets, optimised for side-boarding arrangements.
The designers have opted for "serene" interiors featuring lightly grained tay and wall panels, white Jacquard fabrics and sculptural furniture pieces. Accommodation is across five cabins, including a main deck forward-facing owner's cabin. All cabins benefit from en suite bathrooms with crema marble and mother-of-pearl effect mosaics. There are further quarters for seven crew.
But owner customisation is still feasible at this stage of the build, according to Moonen technical director Nicky van Zon. "The great advantage of having our own in-house experts is that we can respond quickly and flexibly to owner requests throughout the rest of the build. We are a boutique builder with a personal approach. That is what makes building at Moonen such an enjoyable experience," he said.
The 345GT yacht can reach a maximum speed of 17 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles.
Project YN205 will eventually join the existing fleet of Martinique yachts, which includes Brigadoon, Botti and Cocoon. This is alongside the additional two new Martinique yachts scheduled for delivery this year.
