Italian shipyard Monte Carlo Yachts has announced an enclosed flybridge iteration of its MCY 105 flagship model.
The 32 metre MCY 105 Skylounge will feature an enclosed upper deck as opposed to an open flybridge at the request of its owner. The first model is due for delivery in summer 2022 and is set to spend its debut season cruising the Mediterranean.
Penned by Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard, the yacht utilises the available space available on board; there are wide full-beam zones on the main and upper deck, as well as a large owner’s cabin.
According to the yard, the model will “surprise owners worldwide for the impressive volumes, comparable with the ones of much larger units.”
The enclosed flybridge spans 43 sqm and is home to both an upper deck lounge and dining area with 360-degree views and a glass ceiling. However, the area can be customised to suit the needs of each owner with "unmatched levels of freedom", says designers Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard.
The sole helm station is located forward on this level, while an aft terrace affords guests “mesmerising views in palatial comfort”.
As a custom model, the new design features on the vessel were influenced by cooperation between yard and owner. “[MCY 105 Skylounge] is thanks to a privileged relationship we have developed with our customers,” said Sergio Loiacono, Monte Carlo Yachts’ sales and marketing director.
The MCY 105 is the largest superyacht in Monte Carlo Yachts’ fleet and is powered by MTU engines delivering a top speed of 27 knots.
