Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design has presented a new 72.5 metre sailing superyacht design.
Key numbers include a 13.4 metre beam and a keel that lifts from 8.5 metres to 5.5 metres.
The yacht’s sloop rig disguises her flybridge deck, which is positioned aft to enable more natural light to filter into the interior saloon.
External features include a curved sweep of glass in the forward section of the superstructure and fold down bulwarks on either side of the cockpit. These create extended balconies and an open arrangement.
The bulwarks of the swim platform also fold down, increasing the size of the beach club.
The owner’s suite has direct access to the beach club and also features floor to ceiling glass hull sides.
Other features include an 8.5 metre tender well that converts into a large foredeck exercise pool with an accompanying seating area.
The design studio said the MM725 is “unlike any other sailing superyacht afloat today.”
