The 30.5-metre "high performance" sailing yacht Magic Carpet e is preparing for her official launch at Persico Marine's facilities in La Spezia, Italy. Her debut is planned for spring 2025.
Magic Carpet e was commissioned by Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones, Welsh businessman and owner of the 30.5-metre Wally Magic Carpet Cubed. Naval architecture on the new build is owed to Guillaume Verdier – known most recently for the 46.5-metre Perini Navi catamaran ArtExplorer – with the yard promising "unmatched performance at the highest levels of competitive sailing" for Magic Carpet e.

"Projects like Magic Carpet e push us to transcend boundaries," said Marcello Persico, CEO of Persico Marine. "In an era when it seems that any innovative and fast sailing yacht has to be a foiler, this project will prove there is practically no limit to the trailblazing concepts that can be developed for a ‘traditional yacht’. Magic Carpet e definitely raises the bar in high-performance technology to a level never reached until now."
The 30.5-metre WallyCento sailing yacht V, delivered by Perisco Marine in 2017, competed at this year's Barcelona Superyacht Regatta.
