Design studio M51 has released a 71-metre superyacht concept known as Addition. This latest design features a robust transom and split bulwarks that create a distinctive, Dalí-esque exterior aesthetic.
The bulwarks also lend themselves to a "unique beach club layout" that acts as a courtyard. A glass bridge provides access to the main deck while port and starboard hull doors can open for easy access to the water. This space is also envisioned as a major social hub with a bar, lounge, dining area and raised hot tub with a grotto (an enclosed, recessed space).
Accommodation would be for 12 guests, comprising four lower deck guest cabins, a VIP suite on the main deck and a master suite on the forward split deck. The sundeck incorporates an interior lounge and dining space, as well as an exterior hot tub, allowing for flexibility in all seasons.
Addition is designed with a full-beam tender garage aft, with space for a 7.5-metre tender, while the forward deck features a hydraulic toybox for Jet Skis, water toy and rescue tender storage.
The yacht would be built in steel and aluminium, with key specs including an interior volume of 1,350GT, an 11.5-metre beam, and a draught of 3.25 metres.
M51 last shared Forge II and Forged with BOAT International, a set of "volcano-inspired" concepts modelled after a Mediterranean cruiser and explorer yacht, respectively.
