A 25-metre Mangusta 80, called Le St-James, has been engulfed in flames at her berth by the Árpád bridge in Budapest, Hungary.
A statement by Viking Yacht Club confirmed that the yacht was berthed in its marina when the fire broke out at around 12:30 local time today (February 14). Four fire engines, twenty firefighters and the Szent Flórián fireboat were called to extinguish the flames.
Kigyulladt egy yacht az Árpád híd budai hídfőjénél. Ahogy nézem, ebből már nem lesz luxus yacht. Ennek annyi. pic.twitter.com/FNLBW76ujW

"The fire broke out in the cockpit of a motor yacht in the harbour," read the statement, which was originally published in Hungarian. "There was no one on the boat, so there was no personal injury. Material damage on this one ship is significant [but] other ships are safe thanks to quick seclusion."
By 2pm local time, the fire was extinguished but footage circulating on social media suggests the hull is unsalvagable. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
The yacht was delivered in 2004 by Overmarine as part of its popular Mangusta 80 series. She is understood to have been purchased by the St James hotel chain before changing hands and moving to Hungary.
