Italian shipyard Palumbo Superyachts has released new images of the first Extra 86 Fast. Launched in July 2019, the 26 metre motor yacht can reach top speeds of 30 knots and will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 10-15, 2019).
The 86 Fast is the latest addition to the Extra line, which includes the Extra 76, 86 and 93, as well as the 120 Alloy and the 130 Alloy flagship. The Fast version is able to reach high speeds thanks to its powerful yet quiet IPS 1350 propulsion system, which is powered by three Volvo Penta 735kw engines.
As with all of the other hulls in the Extra line, the 86 Fast is designed inside and out by Francesco Guida. Spread over three decks, the 86 Fast is constructed from fibreglass and aluminium and boasts voluminous living spaces despite her high speeds. She can sleep up to eight guests in four en suite cabins, including a full-beam owners' cabin, VIP, and two twins, with additional accommodation for three crew members.
Her interiors are characterised by contemporary furniture in neutral and white tones, complemented by the sizeable panoramic windows throughout the yacht. These large windows give the illusion of being in "a large crystal dome", the builder said. Living areas can be found in the full-beam main saloon, as well as a foredeck lounge and the a sun deck complete with a C-shaped sofa and bar.
The 86 Fast features two outdoor dining areas as well as an extensive 50 square metre beach club, which can carry toys including a Jet Ski.
The new Extra line first premiered in 2018 with the entry-level 24 metre Extra 76. Today this line include the 86, 86 Fast, 93, 120 Alloy and 130 Alloy Flagship.
The Extra 86 Fast will debut at Cannes Yachting Festival alongside its bigger sister the Extra 93. The flagship Alloy 130 will be attending the Monaco Yacht Show.
