ER Yacht Design has revealed the initial details of a 90-metre superyacht known as the ER90. The project is expected to begin construction soon, once a shipyard has been selected.
The studio has said the ER90 will be the "ultimate explorer", capable of "undertaking extensive global journeys, including expeditions to the polar regions."
ER90's exterior is minimalist, characterised by sculptural surfaces and clean, practical deck layouts that are "essential for safe navigation". All onboard systems are designed to operate efficiently in extreme conditions (whether that be polar or tropical), while expansive windows maximise visibility and lend themselves to light and airy interiors.
The hull will be engineered to Category B - Ice Class PC6 standards, utilising "special steel" for cold climates and an aluminium superstructure.
Interiors renderings reveal a bright, contemporary aesthetic, incorporating a neutral colour proposal punctuated by statement light fixtures and varying shades of blue.
"These yachts represent a level beyond typical leisure Monaco megayachts," said Ivan Erdevicki, president at ER Yacht Design. "[They are] state-of-the-art, self-sufficient systems capable of safely navigating the most remote regions of the planet in comfort and luxury."
This project follows the announcement that construction has begun on the ER65, the flagship explorer of RMK Marine's fleet.
