The 40-metre Feadship motor yacht Cetacea has completed a five-month refit project at the Roscioli Shipyard in Fort Lauderdale.
According to BOAT Pro, she checked into the Roscioli shipyard in late February.
Refit work included a rebuild of the main engines, a reconditioning of the entire driveline, a full electric assessment, an overhaul of the stabilisers and installation of a new IMO approved Sewage Treatment System. There was also new piping for the fuel manifold installed alongside a new bilge manifold. Antifouling was applied to the hull after a full strip down to bare metal and hull thickness analysis.
Cetacea’s exterior paint was also reconditioned and her entertainment systems received an upgrade, now integrated with the Starlink Maritime system.
Cetacea was commissioned as a classic family boat and delivered in 1970 by Dutch shipyard Feadship under the name Intent. A previous refit in 2014 saw over $8,000,000 invested into the vessel including zero-time main engine rebuilds and an Awlgrip paint job.
