The newly formed custom division of Italian shipyard Cantieri di Pisa has announced the sale of a 37.5-metre explorer yacht to a French buyer, represented by AB Yacht. In the negotiations for the sale, the shipyard was represented by Yachts Invest.
Launch is scheduled for summer 2026, marking the yard's first plus 30-metre yacht to be signed since the yard was acquired in 2021 by Enrico Gennasio.
The build will be moulded using "advanced vacuum technology", thereby reducing tonnage and lowering the centre of gravity for greater propulsion efficiency. Both design and naval architecture is owed to Barcelona-based Marcelo Penna.
Accommodation will be across six guest cabins and five crew cabins, all en suite. The owner's cabin is located forward on the main deck and will have a private terrace, while a massage room on the upper deck can also converted into an additional cabin.
Other features include a Jacuzzi, a spacious beach club and two lateral-opening terraces. The explorer will also be equipped with a garage amidships for side-launching waverunners and a 6.5-metre tender. A well-appointed galley, pantries on all decks, fridge and freezer areas and high-capacity laundry will also ready the vessel for long-range cruising.
"This sale is the first step taken by our custom division," said CEO Marco Massabò. "We’re very pleased with how quickly we’ve concluded this important sale thanks to the collaboration of all the parties involved and, above all, our sales division and engineering department."
A hybrid propulsion system will result in a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 2,600 nautical miles. The battery pack will provide full electrical autonomy for navigation and anchorage, while also storing enough power to turn the generators off for several hours at night.
Earlier this year, Cantieri di Pisa confirmed it was advancing the renovation and expansion of its headquarters in Pisa as part of a multi-year plan to relaunch the brand.
