Bering Yachts took the opportunity of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to reveal further details on its new flagship model, the 49.4-metre B165.
The B165 was first revealed at this year's Dubai International Boat Show, with two units now under negotiation. The shipyard's current on-water flagship is the 44.2-metre B145, whose first unit, Heeus, was delivered in 2023.
Switzerland-based Valentin Design is responsible for the B165's exterior. "The aim was to create a new kind of explorer," explained designer Valentin Weigand. "A true crossover, where usability and practicability combine with an elegant, experience-driven design."
The yacht distinguishes itself from its predecessors with an elongated aft deck, whose space is further increased thanks to unfolding bulwarks.
Accommodation is across six cabins, including two VIP cabins connected to the superyacht's "cinema room" on the main deck. This room can also be converted into additional accommodation when needed. The upper deck is dedicated to the owner, whose cabin opens out onto a private lounge space on the bow, complete with dip pool and sunpads. A skylounge and al fresco dining is found aft.
There is an additional lounge on the bridge deck, partially sheltered by the hardtop and equipped with a sit up bar, television screen and a firepit. A step above the bridge is a crow’s nest, a private space on a hard top with an unobstructed 360-degree view.
The beach club features a swimming pool flanked with sunloungers, sunpads and a swimming platform with tender crane. B165 can accommodate two tenders on its aft deck, including a five-metre Solas tender.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, the yacht will be able to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots.
Bering Yachts also released details on its 32.2-metre Bering 105, which builds upon the Bering 88 model with the lower deck being the biggest modification. The model is tailored towards charter activities, with four units currently under negotiation according the yard.
