The 27 metre Dominator motor yacht Naseem has sunk in Italy after being destroyed by a fire last week.
Local fire services and the coastguard were called to the scene on Friday, May 13. The boat was positioned five miles off the Santa Maria di Leuca coast in Puglia when it became engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Attempts to extinguish the blaze lasted until the early hours of the morning, by which point the vessel began to sink and could not be salvaged. Three members of crew were rescued from the Naseem "in the early stages of the rescue", according to the Vigili del Fuoco.
The local Maritime Authority has opened an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
Naseem was built in GRP by Dominator and delivered 2009 as one of seven Dominator 86 models. She could sleep up to eight guests and four crew, with a top speed of 24 knots.
