45m Viudes motor yacht Hemabejo sold

7 May 2024 • Written by Nick Jeffery

The 44.8-metre motor yacht Hemabejo has been sold with Pierre Vezilier at IYC representing the seller and Benjamin Bensahel of Camper & Nicholsons introducing the buyer. She is to be renamed Incal and offered for charter with Camper & Nicholsons.

Designed by Isonaval Naval Architects and initially commissioned to be built by Spanish yard Viudes Yachts, her steel hull and aluminium superstructure were completed in Barcelona before she was shipped to Mondomarine in Italy for final fit out of electronics, teak decking, interiors and paintwork. She was launched in 2013 and recently had an extensive refit which included a transformation of her interior.

Hemabejo was asking €17,000,000 with VAT paid

Her rich cherry wood panelling was softened with all new furniture and new carpets that replaced the original dark hardwood floors. Meanwhile, chandeliers and scalloped pelmets were removed for a more minimalistic interior. Today, her open-plan saloon features light and loose furniture with a sofa arrangement to port and a formal dining table and bar forward.

She can sleep up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam master suite with two side balconies, a full-beam VIP suite, two doubles and two twins. Further quarters sleep a crew of nine.

Hemabejo is home to a fold-down transom that creates a 25-square-metre beach club. Up top, a 115-square-metre sundeck is ideal for al fresco entertaining, relaxation and dining, with a sit-up bar, dumbwaiter, and Teppanyaki grill along with an arrangement of sunpads.

The wheelhouse was installed by Italian company Domo Systems, who also installed the entertainment systems that can be controlled by iPads. The bridge is integrated with touch screens, while reverse-angled windows offer 280 degrees of visibility. Wing stations are situated on both side decks.

Power comes from twin Caterpillar C32 engines giving a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles.

Hemabejo was asking €17,000,000 with VAT paid.
