A new 30.53 metre Ocean Alexander motor yacht has been sold by Niel Steenkamp at Alexander Marine in Seattle to owners trading up from a smaller model.
She will be built in GRP by the Taiwanese yard with exterior styling and interior design by Evan K Marshall and delivered in 2018 as hull number 10 in the yard’s OA100 series.
An interior in semi-gloss woods will offer accommodation for eight guests in four cabins in this model’s standard layout of a main-deck master suite, lower deck VIP suite, and port and starboard twins convertible to doubles. All cabins have entertainment centres, LED television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for three crew.
Enlarged windows flood the saloon with natural light and there is custom furniture by Evan Marshall, a wet bar and fridge with a granite top and an entertainment centre including a 60-inch television screen and a Blu-ray audio/visual system. Air conditioning has been upgraded to an ‘extreme tropical climates’ system.
Outdoor entertaining comes with ease, including a flybridge with an elegantly curved full-service bar and grill area, dining for eight, cushioned seating for up to 10 guests, a 15-foot tender and a bubbling spa tub.
Notably, the yard will deliver her in turnkey condition, with full fuel tanks, all linen and bedding, glassware, china and cutlery. Twin 1,920hp MTU diesel engines will give her a maximum speed of 23.5 knots and a range of 2,150 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The Ocean Alexander 100 was asking $11,900,000.
