The 34 metre sailing yacht Nephele, listed for sale by Ben Bartlett at Y.CO, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Nicholson Yachts.
Nephele was built by Auckland-based New Zealand yard McMullen & Wing and designed by yacht designer German Frers. She was designed as a world cruising yacht with lean lines and a high-quality finish.
She is every inch a top end cruising yacht, achieving a balance of high performance and comfort, and has been well maintained by her owner, captain and crew. The aluminium-hulled yacht, which sails under the Maltese flag, has room for six guests in three cabins and a crew of four. Guest accommodation is aft of the saloon and accessible through a central corridor that leads you to, first, two opposing twin cabins and, second, to the full beam master suite. The interior is finished in European beechwood.
Entrance to the interior is via the sliding hatch forward of the main cockpit into the large main saloon. The raised pilothouse has large windows and gives good vision. A second dining table to port accommodates nine and there is large settee to starboard. The audio-visual station is discreetly hidden in the port aft corner and has a pop-up 42 inch plasma screen television.
Nephele was launched in 2003 and her Lugger 475hp engine has a cruising speed of 10 knots and top speed of 12.5 knots. She has a range of 2,400 nautical miles and displacement of 116 tonnes. She has a beam of 7.78 metres and came complete with an Italboats Predator 490 tender.
Nephele was asking €3,450,000.
