The 38.4 metre Christensen motor yacht Afterglow now carries a different price tag, listed for sale by Patrick McConnell at Fraser.
Delivered in 1992, the yacht was built with a fibreglass hull by American builder Christensen Yachts to an exterior design by Glade Johnson.
Afterglow features a four-stateroom layout with a full-beam master suite forward on the main deck complete with his and hers en suite bathrooms. The remaining guest accommodation can be found on the lower level, comprised of a full-beam VIP suite and two double cabins, each equipped with queen-sized beds and en suites.
The spacious interior is finished in Brazilian Honey teak and mahogany joinery with gold, stainless steel, galaxy granite and European fabrics. Afterglow has a 7.9 metre beam.
The main saloon includes a player piano and a large lounge area complete with leather sofas.
Other onboard features include a dining saloon with a custom mahogany table for up to eight guests and an overhead stereo speaker system for background music while enjoying a meal. The skylounge offers another lounge with a sofa, leather ottoman table and a 32” Sony TV.
Outdoor deck spaces are equipped with al fresco dining areas as well as storage for a Novurania 540 equator series tender with diesel power.
Power comes from twin Detroit Diesel engines which allow a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 4000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots. She received a major overhaul of the main engines in May 2021.
Two Kohler 65kW three-phase generators, Naiad stabilisers, a bow thruster and a 1400 GPD water maker round off the propulsion system.
Afterglow is now asking $3,995,000.
