The 50-metre Amels motor yacht Mercury has been sold with Grégory Gheraïa of BlackOrange Yachts representing the buyer.
Built in Netherlands by Amels and delivered in 2001 as part of the Amels Tigre D'Or 50 series, Mercury features original interior and exterior design by Terence Disdale Design, with naval architecture by her builder Amels.
With a volume of 613 GT, the broker noted that Mercury's interior space is remarkably generous compared to most 50-metre yachts. Interior designers Reymond Langton have crafted an elegant and contemporary look throughout to complement this spaciousness.
Mercury can house up to 12 guests and 12 crew, including the captain’s cabin on the bridge deck plus a sixth Nanny cabin on the main deck. There are five spacious staterooms, comprising an owner’s stateroom with a private saloon and office, plus two VIP double staterooms and two twin staterooms with Pullmans.
Over three spacious decks, guests can choose to gather in sociable lounge areas with plush seating or in dining areas with panoramic views. On the sundeck, there are large sun pads, lounge chairs, a Jacuzzi and a bar.
The yacht has had many recent upgrades and has been professionally maintained to a Lloyd's class (100A1 SSC Yacht mono G6 LMC UMS). She is powered by twin 1200hp Cummins diesel engines, which allow a cruising speed of 13 knots and a top speed of 15 knots.
Mercury was asking €13,500,000 and is currently lying in La Spezia, Italy.
