Alloy Yachts' 43.9-metre sailing yacht Encore has changed central agencies, now listed for sale with Will Bishop of Superyacht Partners. Launched in 2013, she was the final sloop to be built by the New Zealand-based shipyard.
A custom-built performance cruiser, Encore is renowned for being an all-rounder and has had the same owner and captain since new. Naval architecture from Dubois Naval Architects, an aluminium hull and superstructure, a Southern Spars carbon fibre mast and boom and carbon rigging have made Encore a proven world cruiser and tough competition in many a regatta.
The 43.9-metre sloop was built to ABS class for a repeat Alloy and Dubois owner with considerable sailing experience. She has been maintained with "an open cheque book policy by her original owner" according to her brokers, undergoing a "significant investment" in upgrades in 2023 and the fitting of new sails in 2024.
Interiors designed by Alloy provide accommodation for up to nine guests in four cabins, including a full-beam master suite with a private en suite. Meanwhile, six crew are accommodated in three cabins.
An inviting yet sophisticated atmosphere is found on board, with a design that blends the required modernities with the classical elegance of an Alloy sailing yacht. The main salon – decorated with rich wood panelling and tasteful soft furnishings – is filled with natural light thanks to large windows. The dining area and galley offer a flexible space for both casual meals and formal entertaining.
Dubois' trademark craftsmanship is showcased in Encore's exterior. Her low-profile deckhouse is seamlessly integrated with her streamlined hull and powerful yet graceful sheerlines.
An expansive deck offers space for relaxing in peace or entertaining friends, with a spacious covered cockpit for al fresco dining and socialising enhanced by hidden speakers. Wide stairs at the transom lead to a swim ladder at the stern for easy access to the water.
The yacht for sale can remain autonomous for up to six months thanks to considered freezer capacity, tankage and storage, alongside a range of 4,000 nautical miles. She has a maximum speed of 15 knots and cruising speeds of 12 knots, powered by one Caterpillar engine.
Currently located in Oahu, Hawaii, Encore is asking $17,500,000.
