The fourth hull of the Amels 60 metre series of motor yachts, Project Snow, has been sold with the seller represented by Kurt Bosshardt and Patrick Hopkins of Denison Yachting and the buyer introduced by Tassos Papantoniou of Torrance Yachts.
Construction will be in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Amels to a design by Espen Øino with delivery set for October 2023.
Six luxury staterooms will accommodate 12 guests. Forward on the main deck is the full-beam owner's suite, designed as a private space while enjoying the ocean with a folding balcony terrace. One adjoining main deck cabin can be used as a VIP, children’s suite, office, or gym, while the remaining four lower deck guest suites are 200 square feet each, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
The objective behind the interior is brightness — to bring the outside in, ensuring a unified look throughout the yacht. Studio Indigo took some of Espen Øino’s external design elements and added them into the fresh, new interior concept. The reception area has generous ceiling heights of up to 7 feet surrounded by wide ocean views. A central staircase makes the layout intuitive and accessible.
Project Snow is a hybrid yacht: at seven knots, she is powered by hybrid electrical drive motors, reducing harmful emissions and vibrations while benefiting from lower fuel and maintenance costs. She offers a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots and superior full displacement seakeeping for performance and comfort.
