The 55.02 metre Feadship motor yacht Samax has been sold by Ben Ritchie and James Pool of Y.CO, with Stuart Larsen of Fraser representing the buyer.
Delivered in 1996 by Dutch yard Feadship, Samax was commissioned for one of the Princes of Brunei and has remained under the same ownership since 2000. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure features exterior styling from British designer Andrew Winch.
According to Y.CO she has been "militantly maintained" throughout her life, with a refit in 2018 and a 25-year class survey completed in early 2022.
Samax sleeps up to 16 guests in eight staterooms and has accommodation for 15 crew. She offers a unique and impressive cabin configuration with two main suites: a large full-beam forward facing master suite on the main deck and a full beam VIP suite on the bridge deck with a private saloon and external deck.
The remaining six cabins are located on the lower deck and are very versatile, with two twin cabins forward, two single cabins amidship and the remaining two aft cabins convertible into twins or doubles depending on requirements, and all cabins have full en suite bathroom facilities.
Powered by twin 2,600hp Caterpillar diesel engines, she is a capable cruiser, with speeds of up to 17 knots and a 4,500 nautical mile range at 12 knots.
Samax was asking €17,750,000.
