BOAT International welcomed the next generation of superyacht owners to the first official Generation BOAT, or Gen B, event on 28 February 2025. Designed as an exclusive club for the descendants of superyacht owners, Gen B offers a space for young professionals to network, forge new connections and cultivate a sense of community. The event was made possible through the support of its valued partners, The OWO and Maddox.
The venue
The evening took place at the McKay Williamson gallery within The OWO Residences in London. BOAT’s business editor, Gabrielle Lazaridis, opened the event with a welcome address, followed by remarks from the gallery’s founder, Richard Williamson, and Charlie Walsh of The OWO, who shared details about the gallery's artwork and the building's renowned history.
Throughout the event, guests were treated to a selection of canapés, provided by Pomelo London, as well as passed hors d'oeuvre and champagne.
The guests
Each guest received a gift bag filled with luxury treats. Inside, they found a voucher for a facial at Harrods for themselves and a guest, courtesy of Orveda, along with samples of the brand’s premium biotech skincare products. The bag also included a trial pack of Ainslie+Ainslie’s NIGHT POWDER - formulated by the human performance experts behind Sir Ben Ainslie’s sailing team to enhance sleep, rest and recovery. Guests were gifted a voucher for luxury transport company Wheely.
