Why charter Taleya?
Delivered in 2008 by the Italian shipyard Rossinavi, 55-metre luxury yacht for charter Taleya has had a recent refit in 2023, meaning she currently stands in excellent condition ahead of the Med season. Work consisted of an interior upgrade, new furnishings and general maintenance.
"Taleya is a brilliant yacht for entertaining," says travel and charter editor, Georgia Boscawen. "Her interior spaces feel bright and open, while the deck spaces are large enough to gather together or find a quiet moment to relax. One of my favourite features on board is the distinctly feminine upper deck lounge, which features purple carpets, cream sofas with pink piping and a new sit-up bar. "
"With a central lift connecting all decks, spacious layouts, and easy manoeuvrability, I love that she’s wheelchair-friendly, making her an excellent choice for guests with mobility needs. The flexible cabin arrangement also stands out: six cabins in total, including four on the lower deck - two doubles and two twins - each featuring Pullman bunks. This makes her an ideal charter yacht for extended families as well."
Interior mood
As guests step on board, they'll be met with elegant and sophisticated spaces. The main saloon has a distinct navy blue and cream palette, which is paired with deep lacquered surfaces and a dark wood floor and features a large dining table forward for the full complement of guests, along with plenty of lounging space.
The upper deck saloon is flooded with natural light. In contrast to the main saloon, the colourful carpets, cream furniture and contemporary, photography-based artwork that gives the space a modern, vibrant feel. The saloon also converts into a cosy space for movie nights, thanks to the 220-inch cinema screen.
Echoing the decor of the upper deck saloon, each of the cabins has a cream colour palette and pops of colour in its soft furnishings. The master cabin forward of the main saloon is connected via an office that can be closed off. Each cabin has a bathroom that follows a monochromatic theme and is filled with marble accents.
Best deck moments
Thanks to her large beam, deck spaces are spacious and offer plenty of room for relaxation. The sun deck is split by a central (fully stocked) gym and massage room, which offers a nice nook for the forward spa pool. Each deck aft can be shaded by removable canopies, which is a good feature for young families and there is plenty of space for charter guests to have a quiet moment to themselves. Deck highlights include:
- The sundeck: featuring a spa pool, massage room and an enclosed gym.
- A forward lounge space on the main deck - perfect for pre-dinner sundowners..
- Bridge deck aft: great for al fresco dining for up to 12 people complete with additional lounging space for after-dinner coffee and digestifs.
- Extended swim platform with lowering steps: hop straight on the water toys or tender.
