Dutch yard Zeelander Yachts has announced the sale of two units in its flagship series, the Zeelander 8, with both yachts to be delivered to the Mediterranean. The 23.9-metre model is designed by Cor D. Rover, with the first hull, Silver Dawn, launched in October 2024.
The identities of the owners have remained under wraps, though founder and owner Sietse Koopmans confirms that the brand "prides itself on cultivating long-term relationships", with many of the yard's clients being repeat buyers. One of the units will sport a pearlescent white finish, while the other hull's colour is still under consideration.
The model has accommodation on the lower deck, including a full-beam owner's cabin and two guest doubles, while the bow is dedicated to quarters for three crew. Customisation is a key tenet of the model – the layout of the aft deck, saloon and guest cabins, as well as the interior decor, can be tailored to the buyer's specifications.
Another design highlight is the aft deck, with a transom that swings open to create a 12-square-metre bathing platform at the water's edge. The space is furnished with a high gloss table surrounded by leather seating.
"I am delighted with the recent success and the signing of contracts for two additional units of our flagship model," said Koopmans. "Each Zeelander yacht is a masterpiece in a state of continuous evolution, and every yacht we produce is truly one of a kind."
At full throttle, the model can operate with noise levels breaking the 65dBa barrier, a fact that makes the Zeelander 8 "the quietest vessel in its class" according to the shipyard.
The model also functions well as a chase boat for a larger vessel, providing an option for shorter trips, shore excursions, or guest transfers.
