Team for Design has penned an 86.7 metre superyacht concept designed for Oceanco and named Colosseum. This is a joint concept between the design firm and the yard, and is based on the lines of a working and existing Oceanco hull.
"Her stature and volume, together with the wide curvature of her aft decks is somewhat reminiscent of the grand Roman amphitheatre, the largest and most renowned construction of ancient Rome,” explained Team for Design in a statement.
Along with the extensive windows, Team for Design has used glass to surround the deep pool on the aft deck of the yacht. Below the superyacht pool, large windows provide water-level panoramic views from the wellness area.
Total black side terraces that open out from both the Master and VIP suites create a striking visual to the profile of the yacht and are identified as a signature feature of the design. Another notable design feature is the vertical guest cabin windows up forward that mirror the nearly vertical bow.
On the sun deck sun beds surround a second pool, with a fully equipped bar and an observation area forward with lounge seating for taking in the views.
A large owner’s suite, two VIP cabin and four double guest cabins provide accommodation for 14 guests. Capacity for 28 crew will allow the guests to be well looked after.
Powered by twin MTU 20V 4000M 73L main engines, Colosseum will be capable of a maximum speed of 18.5 knots. With a helipad on the foredeck and space for a 10.5 metre limo tender and a 11 metre luxury sports tender, the yacht will be well equipped.
