Tankoa Yachts sells in build S693 superyacht

Italian yacht builder Tankoa Yachts has announced the sale of a 69.3 metre superyacht already under construction.

Tankoa S693 is the project code name for the superyacht in build at the Genova, Italy, yard. Earlier this year, the shipyard signed an agreement with Michel Karsenti's yacht consultancy company Yacht-Ology to carry on the marketing, product development and sales of Tankoa's production. The Tankoa S693 superyacht was sold in March.

Designer Francesco Paszkowski, who designed two projects for Tankoa prior, was asked to revise the exterior lines of the S693 superyacht along with Yacht-Ology to create a timelessly modern-classic yacht. After the completion of the redesign, Yacht-Ology showed the project to an Eastern European client who signed a building agreement with the combined forces of Tankoa, Paszkowski and Yacht-Ology.

Paszkowski is also responsible for the interior design, described as 'modern-zen' in style. S693 will accommodate guests in five main-deck cabins and a convertible sixth cabin on the upper deck. The master stateroom is also located on the upper deck, enjoying 180-degree views, and it includes a study, private terrace and spa pool.

The full-displacement motor yacht will come in at 1,300 gross tons. She features a high-efficiency hull design by Ruggiero Naval Architects. Project S693 is designed to be capable of a top speed of 16.5 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles. Special features of the yacht include a spacious beach club with a bar; a sauna and hammam opening to the sea; a glass-bottom sun deck swimming pool with a waterfall and wet bar; touch-and-go helipad; crow's nest accessed with a private elevator; and upper deck saloon and sushi bar. The 7.5m high-performance tenders are to be stored in a central tender garage, and there is a forward garage for up to eight jet skis.

Tankoa superyacht S693 is scheduled for delivery in July 2015 and will be available for charter August 2015; she will make her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show that year, and plans are in the works for a US debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Miami Art Basel later that season.
