The 44.7-metre Feadship superyacht Sport (ex Space) has been relaunched following a six-month refit. She has just completed her first round of North Sea trials today near Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2 May).
This is the first time Sport has been photographed since October 2023, when she was in transit to Feadship's Van Lent facility on Kaag Island.
"While the most noticeable change will be a fresh coat of paint, the more substantial improvements will remain hidden from view," said a spokesperson for the Dutch shipyard.
Works have indeed been kept tightly under wraps. However, the yacht is known to have undergone a comprehensive technical upgrade, including the generator sets, the power management system, the Alarm Monitoring and Control System and a "thorough overhaul" of the main engines.
Sport was delivered in 2007 as the first unit in Feadship's F45 Vantage series. Her exterior is owed to Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, while her interiors were styled by Donald Starkey.
Accommodation is across five cabins, including a full-beam master cabin on the main deck. Leisure highlights include a bridge deck study that can be converted into an additional en suite cabin, a steam room on the lower deck, a bar and a spacious sundeck with a Jacuzzi.
This follows the news of another, more extensive Feadship refit.
The 49.9-metre Azteca, once owned by Mexican billionaire and media mogul Emilio Azcárraga, has emerged with a entirely new name and look following a two-year rebuild in Turkey.
