Rodriguez Design has teamed up with Spanish shipyard Atollvic to present its 55 metre aluminium superyacht concept Project Saona.
With a draught of just 2.1 metres, Project Soana will be an “ideal Bahamas yacht, studio founder Josh Rodriguez said. The exterior design has been described as “sporty yet elegant” with a “sharp and aggressive bow”.
Project Soana also features an oversized swim platform, beach club and fold out balconies to maximise access to the sea. The beach club is also equipped with a day head and storage for diving equipment.
Dedicated tender storage large enough to store a Williams Dieseljet 625 tender and jet skis sits forward of the beach club.
Other features include a private owner’s terrace on the upper deck, large sunpads on the main deck and a large saloon flooded with natural light. A Jacuzzi sits alongside a sunpad on the foredeck, which is shaded by carbon fibre awnings.
Accommodation is for a total of 10 guests in five cabins, including the 60 square metre owner’s suite. The rest of the guest accommodation sits on the lower deck and comprises two full beam VIP cabins and two double cabins.
Power comes from a pair of MTU 20V 4000 M93L engines for a top speed of 22 knots and a range of 4500 nautical miles at 12 knots.
