A new special superyacht feature that allows guests to descend through the water to enjoy a submerged viewing experience from their superyacht has been unveiled by Gresham Yacht Design.

Known as the “Hydrosphere”, the concept immerses guests in the surrounding ocean environment through the hull of the vessel. It replicates the experience of diving in a submersible without ever leaving the yacht.
Offering 360-panoramic views of the underwater world, the Hydrosphere can seat seven guests and takes just “minutes” to deploy from the bottom of the boat. It’s this that sets the Hydrosphere apart from a submersible, according to designer and studio founder Steve Gresham.
“The only other way to get this type of experience is to dive in a submersible. This takes time though — to get a sub ready to launch and into the water takes at least an hour, if not more," said Gresham.
The Hydrosphere is fitted with onboard lighting to illuminate the water below and can be used at any time, even when the yacht is travelling underway at a maximum of two knots. When out of use, the Hydrosphere retracts into the hull and is protected by an external hatch
