Italian shipyard Evo Yachts has unveiled a new, 30-metre model known as the Evo R9. The yacht is projected to reach an impressive top speed of almost 60 knots.
According to the shipyard, the Evo R9 is "a highly customisable" vessel with an owner-focused design that aims to "measure against the Italian and Northern European leaders [of the superyacht industry]". Her striking geometric exterior is the work of Valerio Rivellini, who collaborated with the shipyard’s technical office.
Renderings reveal a profile defined by angular lines, an aluminium hull and topside and a carbon fibre superstructure. The yacht is enclosed in glazed surfaces and offers various layout options which can be tailored to her owner’s preferences.
Accommodation is available for six to eight guests, with space for up to four crew members. Highlights include an extended bow section with a lounging area, a swim platform and foldable hull sides.
The propulsion system also promises to be a standout feature, with the option of two or three 2,200hp engines delivering a top speed of 50 to 58 knots and a cruising speed of 40 to 44 knots.
"This new model is designed for an experienced owner who loves high-end performance without sacrificing the features that have made the brand famous, particularly transformability," explained a spokesperson for the yard.
To this end, the model will be fitted with opening bulwarks and a stern transformer for "enhanced versatility".
