New Zealand-based yacht builder Circa Marine has revealed designs for a new 40.3-metre explorer yacht concept.
The Circa 40m Explorer would be built in marine-grade aluminium, with a colour proposal that has the three, tiered decks painted matte-metallic shades of white, silver, and charcoal.
Developed alongside LOMOcean Marine of New Zealand, Circa Marine said the yacht would “revolutionise the concept of oceanic exploration” with its ability to carry a wide range of expedition vehicles and watercraft, including miniature submarines. An overextended aft deck allows space to stow a personal helicopter.
The yacht can comfortably host up to eight guests and eight crew across four cabins, with an owner's cabin that spans the yacht’s 9.2-metre beam. Other highlights include a Jacuzzi and loungers on the sundeck and a swim platform offering direct access to the ocean.
With two caterpillar C32 engines, the Circa Explorer has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots and 7,000 nautical miles at eight knots, with a top speed of 15 knots. A draught of 2.7 metres enables her to anchor closer to shore.
“The Circa 40m Explorer is the perfect vessel for those who dare to dream beyond the shores,” explained the yard. “Whether you are a seasoned explorer seeking new horizons, or an adventurer at heart, the Circa 40m Explorer is your gateway to unparalleled oceanic escapades.”
The designers have also incorporated “state-of-the-art navigation systems” and “advanced communication technology” to facilitate safe and secure exploration.
With six yachts in its fleet, the Circa Explorer concept follows the success of Circa Marine’s expanded range in January.
