Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has announced the sale of the fourth unit in its Deep Blue 141 series. This follows the sale of the third hull to a "very experienced British client" in January 2024.
The first unit in the 43.1-metre series, Acala, was delivered in 2022 and won in her category at the World Superyacht Awards the following year. Horacio Bozzo is responsible for the series' robust exterior design, while interiors are by Terence Disdale, who is known for his work on Blohm + Voss' 162.5-metre Eclipse and the 114.5-metre Pelorus, built by Lürssen.
Signature features of the model include a high, imposing bow, detached mullions and oversized windows on the main deck. Accommodation is across four cabins including an owner's suite with a private lounge and studio area. The buyer has also requested "extremely large and comfortable crew quarters", with separated crew stairs for greater privacy.
"Over the years, I’ve enjoyed long, memorable holidays aboard some of the finest yachts crafted by renowned Northern European shipyards," said the owner. "Through these experiences, I gained a clear vision of what I expect from a yacht, the onboard lifestyle I like [and] the ambiance and amenities I desire. This understanding ultimately led me to choose an explorer yacht built by Cantiere delle Marche."
The latest unit will be equipped with twin Caterpillar engines which, when combined with a Hydro Tec hull, will grant her "a remarkable range at cruising speed". Further details will be revealed as the build progresses.
According to BOATPro, Cantiere delle Marche has 18 yachts on order or under construction, three of which belong to the Deep Blue 141 series. At 49.9 metres, the largest build is the first Flexplorer 165 which was sold in April 2024.
