The 54.3-metre classic three-masted schooner Shenandoah of Sark has had a change of broker and is now listed with Bobby McDougall of Mediterranean Yachts.
She has been on the market since 2013.
Built in steel by Townsend & Downey in New York, she was delivered in 1902 and "has been the pride and joy of numerous aristocrats, industrialists and magnates throughout her 122 years of history".
Her design is by Thedore E. Ferris and she has undergone numerous refits in her recent history, now boasting an interior by Terence Disdale.
McMullen & Wing of New Zealand restored her from 1994 to 1996 after which she picked up a Design & Innovation Award. She has had further refits in 2004, 2009, 2016 and 2019.
Martin Francis designed her innovative lowering cockpit windows, allowing for an open-air feel or full protection for up to 10 guests in the heart of sailing operations (while still feeling out of the way). The space is also perfect for al fresco meals.
Accommodation includes five cabins, sleeping up to eight adults and three children. There are quarters for a crew of 12 in six cabins. Beautiful teak decks give guests ample space to spread out, sit back and enjoy the feel of the wind powering her through the sea. The interior has a suitably nautical and traditional feel with wood panelling, gloss white deckheads and paintings, as well as a baby Steinway piano.
Until recently she has operated as a successful charter vessel and the broker said "she benefits from MCA Short Range classification".
Under her twin Lugger 500hp diesels the classic yacht for sale has a range of 3,740 nautical miles. Cruising speed is nine knots rising to a top speed of 12 knots. Draft is 4.7 metres and her displacement 300 tonnes.
Shenandoah of Sark is asking €9,500,000 and lying in Valencia, Spain.
