The 37.92 metre motor yacht So’Mar has been sold by Peter Thompson at Ahoy Club with Thor Knappe of SuperYachtsMonaco introducing the buyer. The sale was completed just days after Ahoy Club formally announced its expansion into yacht sales.
Built in epoxied wood to RINA class by Turkish yard Tansu Yachts with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, So’Mar was delivered in 2014, going on to win a coveted Neptune trophy at the 2015 World Superyacht Awards.
Accommodation is for up to nine guests in four cabins comprising a master suite on the upper deck, a VIP suite with a daybed, and two twins. All guest cabins on this yacht for sale have entertainment centres and en suite bathroom facilities while a further three cabins sleep five crewmembers.
The main deck saloon is compact but bright, with large windows. The forward wall features distressed wood planks and a suitably nautical piece of art. Furniture is light-toned on the yacht, accented with turquoise and aqua cushions.
The open main deck has a bar, with snug rounds of built-in seating and dining. Lighting under the seats and at the bar glances off the glossy white of the superstructure, while teak overheads give a warm, protected feeling.
Her top speed is 15.9 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from two 715hp Caterpillar C-18 diesel engines.
So’Mar was asking €7,900,000 with VAT paid.
