The 36.2-metre Ocean King motor yacht Vayus has been sold, with Gabriele Modica Ragusa of Northrop & Johnson and Stefano Falaschi of Futura Yachts representing the seller and Jason Dunbar of Luke Brown Yachts introducing the buyer.
Delivered in 2023, Vayus was built in steel and aluminium from the Italian yard's Ducale 120 model. Penned by VYD Studio, she is described as an explorer yacht, designed for luxury and long-range cruising.
Accommodation on board is for a party of 10 in five cabins, including an owner's suite with panoramic views and a spa-like en suite, and there are quarters for a crew of seven.
Her engineering design included extensive Finite Element Analysis (FEM) to optimise the structure and allow for enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, custom structural elements, glass bulwarks and cantilevered decks. The windows in the main saloon are expansive, and can open on three sides making for an airy experience when required. Meanwhile, the upper deck features a flexible cinema area that can also be opened up to the sea breeze or enclosed and air-conditioned.
Guests can choose between a glass-backed saltwater Jacuzzi at the transom or a freshwater one on the sundeck where there is also a bar. Further comfortable seating is found on the foredeck for views over the bow.
The 358GT RINA-classed yacht is powered by twin MAN diesel engines, providing a long range of 5,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 14 knots. Her garage is large enough for a 5.7-metre Williams jet tender.
Vayus was last known asking €16,500,000.
