Classic Benetti motor yacht Freemont sold

4 November 2022 • Written by Nick Jeffery

The 35 metre Freemont has been sold with Equinoxe International's Alex Mazzoni representing the seller and Ocean Independence's Lars Bjorklund acting for the buyer.

Freemont was built in steel and aluminium by Benetti in 1983 and has been refitted numerous times throughout her life, mostly recently in 2017.

Freemont was asking €2,400,000.

Accommodating up to ten guests and seven crew, Freemont's interior was designed in-house by Benetti. It offers a glimpse into Benetti's craftsmanship from the 1980s, her woodwork having softly radiused corners and cabin bulkheads being adorned in padded fabrics. A full-beam master stateroom is complemented by an adjacent VIP, at main deck level, the remaining three suites being on the lower deck.

Freemont's exterior, also styled by Benetti, offers classic charm. She was refitted in 2013 and sports an 'old school' stern platform abutting her curved transom.

Built to Bureau Veritas classification and MCA compliant, Freemont is powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines gently pushing the 259GT vessel along at up to 14 knots. She has a range of over 2,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Freemont was asking €2,400,000.
