Giovanna Vitelli appointed as chairwoman of Azimut-Benetti Group

Giovanna Vitelli has been named chairwoman of the Azimut-Benetti Group, where she previously acted as vice president. 

The development had been "strongly desired" by Azimut founder Paolo Vitelli to ensure a strong sense of continuity within the family-owned business. According to a statement from the yard, Vitelli's appointment "guarantees the stability necessary to seize all the opportunities of the future."
