Turkish shipyard Vicem Yachts has delivered its first 25 metre fully custom superyacht, named Alecto. The yacht is expected to make its global debut at the annual Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2022.
Commissioned by a three-time Vicem owner, the custom build has been designed in the style of a classic Downeast flybridge cruiser, sporting a cold-molded mahogany hull and superstructure finished with Akzo Nobel-International epoxy.
This use of these materials combines a traditional look with modern shipbuilding techniques to ensure a durable structure, complete with built-in antifouling properties below the waterline.
Spread across three decks, the fully custom cruiser offers three en suite staterooms for six guests including a full-beam master cabin as well as dedicated crew quarters. Premium mahogany joinery is used throughout the interiors to continue the classic look of the exterior design.
Social spaces include the main saloon, which can comfortably seat up to 20 guests, while up on the bridge deck guests can enjoy al fresco dining with a wine chiller, barbecue and entertainment console as well as a foredeck sunpad that can be used both underway and at anchor.
Production manager at Vicem Yachts, Yigit Akbarlas, said the vessel “offers owners the flexibility to captain the vessel themselves, or for a small crew to live and work onboard in safety and style.”
Powered by twin 900hp Volvo Penta diesel engines, Alecto can reach a top speed of 17.8 knots and has a range of 1,100 nautical miles at a cruising speed of nine knots.
Alecto has now been listed for sale with Ocean Independence. asking $4,495,000.
