The third hull in SilverYachts' SpaceCat series has been turned at the builder's facilities in Australia. It marks the first unit in the 36-metre series to be built in Australia, as opposed to China, where there is a second SilverYachts facility.
The all-aluminium model is being built on speculation and is the next hull available for sale now the second unit has secured a buyer. Key features include an Espen Øino exterior and a five-cabin layout, which can still be modified if a buyer comes into the project before completion.
The SpaceCat line is a new venture for SilverYachts, with the first hull launched in July 2022 and plans for a 22-metre and a 24-metre unit in the works.
The interiors for hulls one and two will be built in Australia. The second hull was flipped in China a month ago, but a representative from SilverYachts has said the two yachts share a similar build schedule with delivery set at the end of 2023 or early in 2024, according to BOATPro.
