The third unit of the new Mangusta 165 REV series has been launched in Viareggio, Italy. She now joins sisterships N1 and No Rush on the water.
The 49.9-metre superyacht was sold in January 2023 by the shipyard's sales manager Nicolò Strocco. She will be delivered to her owner at the end of June and spend her first summer season cruising the Mediterranean.
The model is the flagship of Mangusta's Maxi Open line and is characterised by its impressive speed, with four Rolls Royce engines and a Kongsberg Kamewa water-jet propulsion system enabling a maximum speed of 35 knots. The Mangusta 165 REV also distinguishes itself with a "reshaped beach club" that incorporates an additional, sheltered area.
The exterior is owed to Lobanov Design, who teamed up with Overmarine's technical department to "reinterpret the classic lines" of Mangusta's open yachts. M2 Atelier is responsible for this unit's full-custom interiors, with details currently undisclosed.
Accommodation is across six cabins, including a 92-square-metre master cabin "unparalleled in size in the yacht segment below 499GT". The main saloon has been designed for visual connection with the outdoors, seen best in the floor-to-ceiling glazing and two lateral fold-down balconies.
Meanwhile, an al fresco lounge can be found on the main deck, arranged with sofas, sunbathing areas and a Jacuzzi. The sundeck is fitted with a bar area and further sofa seating. A garage with side access stores a six-metre tender and two Jet Skis.
BOAT International was invited on board the first unit in the series, N1, which was delivered in 2022.
