Polish shipyard Sunreef has released more details about its 26.8-metre catamaran series 88 Ultima. The model forms part of the yard's new line of “hi-tech hybrid power catamarans" which comprises four different size segments starting with an entry-level 13.7-metre.
The 88 Ultima sports a modern, polished look with long lines of glazing and a black-and-silver colour palette.
The line's “solar skin system” marks an industry first, with engineered battery banks and hybrid propulsion furthering the design’s “unrivalled energy efficiency”. The naval architecture has been completed in-house and claims to combine monohull dynamics with a multihull living space.
With a beam of 9.1-metres and a living space of 387-square-metres, the yacht can accommodate up to ten guests. 88 Ultima has multiple interior layouts to choose from, with a stand-out choice allowing for a full-beam master suite and private sauna.
The in-house interiors benefit from plentiful natural light, with eco-conscious décor details such as sustainable woods, recycled plastics and reclaimed fabrics. The living and lounge areas are also designed to reduce artificial lighting and air conditioning.
On the exterior decks, the aft deck features bulwarks that can be folded down to create overwater balconies. A swim platform can host a tender or be left clear to facilitate easy access to the water.
A shallow draft allows 88 Ultima access to remote locations and anchorages.
