Turkish yard Numarine has released the first interior images of its 37XP flagship expedition yacht Alaia.
The yacht was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September after her official launch in August 2021. Alaia is the first unit in the 37XP series with four units sold to date.
Designed with Can Yalman, the 37XP features naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini and interiors by Hot Lab. Featuring a full displacement steel hull and composite superstructure, the 37XP features a 344GT interior and six guest cabins comprising a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins and a nanny cabin on the lower deck.
Elsewhere, large windows fill the main deck saloon and accommodation areas with natural light. The 37XP is set to have a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
“The lines on the 37XP are a refinement of the robust look of the 32XP with flowing softer lines that extenuate the longer length, with less interruptions that create a balance between strength and elegance,” said Yalman.
The 37XP also has the same beam as its smaller sibling, the 32XP, but five metres have been added forward of the engine room bulkhead to expand the volumes of the guest and crew accommodation as well as in the upper deck and sky lounge.
Alaia's interior design was handled by Hot Lab and is the second time Numarine has joined forces with the Italian studio. The decor features a neutral palette of greys, whites and beige tones, illuminated by natural light filtering into the interior through large windows.
"We received a few reference images and comments on what the owner wanted. Something more classic than his previous Numarine, richer in terms of details and materials and this is exactly what we are good at. It is a modern revision of pure decorative elements and rich materials: ebony, mother of pearl, great quality leather. All of them merged into a balanced and straight forward design," said Hot Lab partner Enrico Lumini.
Other highlights include a 10 metre-long flybridge and space for a nine metre tender on the upper aft deck that, when launched, turns into a large sunbathing platform.
The fourth unit was sold by Denison Yachting after the Cannes Yachting Festival with delivery slated for 2022.
