Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine Group, has ushered in the New Year with the launch of two upcoming superyachts, held only days apart.
The first vessel to hit the water (on 10 January) was the third unit in the yard's Oceano 39 series, commissioned by a repeat American client.
The entry-level model belongs to Mangusta's displacement line and is characterised by all-glass gunwales, straight lines and massive volumes, courtesy of Alberto Mancini Yacht Design.
Another signature design feature is the large infinity pool situated on the foredeck, with a partial glass bottom that allows natural light to filter into the master suite below. The yacht's fully custom interiors are the result of a collaboration between Mangusta's in-house design team and FM Architettura.
Fitted with twin MTU engines, this Mangusta Oceano 39 can reach a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 16 knots and a range of 2,100 nautical miles.
Four days later, Mangusta launched the 10th hull in its performance-oriented GranSport 33 series, built for a European owner.
Known for its aggressive styling, the GranSport 33 showcases yet another collaboration in the long-standing partnership between Mangusta and Alberto Mancini. The yacht's slender form blends seamlessly with her four, high-power Volvo Penta engines and IPS propulsion system to deliver top speeds of 25 knots, while also helping to minimising noise and vibrations.
This unit features a five-cabin layout with a master stateroom on the main deck. According to the yard, the suite measures over 40 square metres and uses extensive glazing to ensure constant visual contact with the sea and maximum privacy.
According to BOATPro, Overmarine Group currently has 23 projects in development (24 metres and above), including two Mangusta GranSport 54 models and three further units in the Oceano 39 series.
