French yard JFA Yachts has launched its FC2 monohull cruiser. Commissioned at the beginning of 2016, the 22.3 metre yacht was originally scheduled to launch at the beginning of the year. She is now receiving her all carbon rigging and set of technical sails for sea trails which are due to begin in France this month.
Designed by Finot Conq, the yacht features an aluminium hull and glass epoxy deck and cockpit. She also features a pivoting keel which enables the draft to be reduced from 4.4 metres to 2.05 metres for safe entry into shallow anchorages.
A 3.4 metre tender can be stored in a garage aft which is concealed by a pivoting rear door.
The interior design features Zebrano furniture and white lacquered panels. Accommodation is for six guests and a crew of one. The full beam owner’s suite is located forward and sits alongside the crew cabin while two guest cabins are positioned aft.
While details about her sailplan are yet to be released, power will come from a 180hp engine. The yacht is also equipped with two thrusters at the bow and stern of the boat as well as a twin rudder. The deck is equipped with hydraulic winches and furlers.
