The 67.4-metre Feadship superyacht Project 823 has been named Sibelle and delivered to her owners.
Studio De Voogt has created the interior and exterior of the yacht, with distinctive grilles on the sundeck and a recessed well on the foredeck for tender storage.
The yacht was moved out of the construction shed at the yard's Kaag site in March 2023 following her technical launch in January.
“The main theme of the yacht is strength,” said Jan Schaffers, senior designer at Studio De Voogt. He noted that the proportions of the yacht are larger than usual to emphasise this strength. "At the same time, we aimed to focus on the length of the yacht by creating uninterrupted lines, for instance in the widebody windows and the superstructure. Together this creates a very unique character," he added.
Feadship has called the exterior "bold" with a "muscular reverse sheer to the bow" and "chiselled contours". The yard collaborated with Azure Naval Architects to engineer the hull.
Meanwhile, the interior has a family-focused layout with a "simple yet sophisticated" theme that employs natural tones, light wood veneers and organic forms. The result is "informal" yet welcoming.
Accommodation is for ten guests in five cabins, including a main deck owner's suite, a VIP cabin on the bridge deck and three lower deck cabins.
An elevator serves all the way from the lower deck to the sundeck. The sundeck has been designed as the principal social hub on board, with a central lounge area sheltered by a glass windbreak and hardtop that can also benefit from natural ventilation thanks to side windows and nine skylights in the overhead.
The radar mast was engineered to span these glass skylights, supported by flat panel satellite hardware for internet connectivity.
Other relaxation areas include a large wellness and gym area on the lower deck, adjoining the beach club. To keep this space useable, tender storage can be found in a recessed well in the foredeck.
According to Feadship, "careful attention has been paid also to the crew quarters and service areas with additional fridge-freezer storage, a large laundry room and extra dry storage on the tank deck."
According to BOATPro, Feadship has 15 projects in the works across its four construction sites. Project 823 was the first launch of 2023.
