Feadship 95m hybrid superyacht Bliss pictured on maiden voyage

Feadship’s 95 metre hybrid superyacht Bliss has been captured in Gibraltar after embarking on its maiden voyage from the Dutch yard. The yacht, which completed sea trials earlier this year, is now at anchor in the Bay of Palma.

Previously known as 1009, Bliss is described as a “timeless family yacht”. Fitted with a hybrid propulsion package, Bliss is set to be a “world traveller”, according to the yard.

Exterior design comes courtesy of Jan Schaffers of Studio De Voogt while Rémi Tessier has penned the “elegant” interior.

Key features include “state-of-the-art technology and engineering” alongside “advanced security and life-safety systems”, the yard said.

The hybrid propulsion system will enable the yacht to sail in diesel-electric mode. Equipped and certified to cruise the Polar regions, Bliss will has a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Other features include high ceilings, nine guest cabins, plentiful lounge areas and a large gym and wellness area. Spacious exterior areas include a large swimming pool and helideck, which converts into a sports and games deck.

Feadship reported the owner had “thoroughly enjoyed” the design and build process that brought the yacht into being.

Project manager Albert Abma said: “Feadship is renowned for offering a unique experience to owners who wish to become personally involved and, in this case, the client embraced every opportunity to play a role.

“He also thoroughly enjoyed meeting the craftspeople and learning about our processes at the yard. Bliss really is a Feadship built with as well as for her owner.”
