Oceanco and Feadship also made waves with an unconventional concept and a much-anticipated sea trial, respectively, while Rossinavi released the full breadth of interior imagery for its most innovative project to date, the hybrid catamaran Seawolf X.

1. 122m Lürssen superyacht Kismet arrives in London, UK
This month, the 122-metre Lürssen superyacht Kismet visited the UK capital following her highly-anticipated debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. She anchored in Tower Bridge following a stopover in Tilbury, making her one of the largest yachts to have ever travelled the River Thames. Kismet was commissioned by repeat Lürssen client Shahid Khan, who is no stranger to the UK as the owner of the Fulham Football Club.

Captain Guy Booth spoke out against the continued detention of the 58.5-metre Phi, which has been the subject of a multi-year legal battle in the UK. The superyacht was detained in 2022 on the basis of recently-introduced sanction law following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and has remained in central London ever since, reportedly costing her owner in excess of £11 million.

The 136-metre Flying Fox was removed from the US sanctions list and is now available for charter globally. The yacht had been flagged on the basis of its link to the defunct Imperial Yachts, a Monaco-based yacht brokerage firm, but has since had a change of central agency to Bluewater Yachting Dubai. Highlights include a 12-metre pool, an outdoor kitchen with a churrasco oven and a 400-square-metre spa spread across two floors.

The 118.8-metre Feadship Project 821 was sighted on her sea trials near the town of IJmuiden, Amsterdam. The world's first fuel-cell-powered superyacht, Project 821 was launched this May and joined the market with Edmiston shortly after. She also marks the largest motor yacht ever launched in the Netherlands, eclipsing the 118.8-metre Launchpad with around "30 per cent more volume".

The 85.9-metre Benetti superyacht Kingdom 5KR crashed into a quay in Bizerte, Tunisia. Commissioned by Saudi billionaire and arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, Kingdom 5KR has had several high-profile owners in the decades since her delivery, including Donald Trump – who renamed her Trump Princess – and Saudi royal Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

Italian yard Rossinavi revealed the full interiors of the 42.8-metre Seawolf X following her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. New York-based design firm Meyer Davis is responsible for the design, which "bring[s] relaxed luxury and sustainable design to the forefront". The decor takes inspiration from nature, particularly the sun, the sea and sand.

US-headquartered yard Lazzara Yachts announced the sale of its first flagship unit, the Lazzara UHV 150. The 45.7-metre model is named after its "Ultra High Volume" but has also been designed with longevity and transatlantic navigation in mind. UK-based H2 Yacht Design will be responsible for interiors, with the "Art Deco" and "Neoclassical eras" named as its inspiration.
