Baltic Yachts signs contract for a 33 metre sailing yacht

2 July 2012 • Written by Raphael Montigneaux

June was an interesting month for new orders, one of which was announced yesterday - Baltic Yachts has signed a new contract for a 33 metre sailing yacht, currently known as Project WinWin.

WinWin will be a spectacular modern racer/cruiser designed by Javier Jaudenes. With a light displacement of 82 tonnes, this sailing yacht will be perfect for regattas or long family cruises. Decisions have been made to use advanced technologies and materials for the build, such as a pre-preg carbon sandwich with a foam core for the hull, a lifting keel, a submarine anchor system, and state-of-the-art insulation to ensure comfort inside.

The modern interior will be the creation of Design Unlimited, but no further details about the accommodation have yet been disclosed. Special features will include a drop-down glass bulkhead between the raised saloon and cockpit creating interconnected interior and exterior areas.

The construction of Project WinWin will start this Autumn, and her delivery is scheduled for 2014.
